Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boon Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jp Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baggins comes to the cage accompanied by The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins (my hero). The crowd seem to be enjoying Benn's choice of entrance music: Icarus by Hopesfall. Boon Baggins had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benn lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Boon Baggins has been cut.
Baggins has his takedown stuffed
and Benn counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Baggins is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Baggins takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Benn shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Baggins looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Benn is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Benn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Benn is looking to advance position but Baggins won't allow it.

Benn wants to work for an arm triangle but Baggins is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Baggins stops Benn from passing to mount.

Baggins is rocked!
A big shot lands for Benn! That's hurt Baggins! Will he recover? Benn fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
