Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malcolm Winner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick Willis! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Willis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Winner's waist but Winner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Willis off to one side. Winner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Willis to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Willis throws a big right hand that misses. Willis throwing strikes but missing. Willis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Willis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Winner is keeping the position for now. Willis forces his way into half guard. Willis not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Willis wants to free his trapped foot but Winner is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Willis connects with a nice short shot to Winner's temple. Willis passes to full mount! Willis throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Winner because Willis loaded up on that one. Willis unloads with some shots from mount but Winner bucks and avoids them well.

Willis throws a wild left hand from mount and Winner manages to wriggle his way back to half guard. Willis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Willis thows a huge punch but Winner dodges it nicely.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Willis keeps the fight on the outside.

Willis shoots in but Winner avoids the takedown attempt easily. Willis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Winner defends it nicely. Willis is breathing heavily. Willis misses with a wild body shot. Willis scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Winner lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Winner stops a takedown attempt from Willis.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Willis fails to pull guard.
Winner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Winner misses with an uppercut. Patrick Willis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A jab from Willis finds it's way through Winner's defenses. Willis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Winner but Winner pushes him off and we're back to square one. Winner digs a good body shot into Willis's ribs. Patrick Willis seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nice sprawl there from Winner as Willis shoots in. Winner lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Winner. Willis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
No joy there for Willis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good work by Willis as he checks the leg kick. Winner fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Winner cracks a nice hook into Willis's ribs. Winner moves into the clinch successfully.
Winner stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Winner just leaning against Willis, taking a breather. Winner manages to break the clinch.
Willis walks into a stiff left hand from Winner. Malcolm Winner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. That kick from Winner tenderised Willis's leg. Willis is trying to keep his angry face on. Malcolm Winner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Winner pushes Willis up against the cage in a clinch. Winner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Winner fails in his attempt to clinch. Winner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Willis manages to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Winner showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Willis.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Willis is defended easily by Winner. Winner fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Willis has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Willis scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Willis. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Winner lands with a shot to the body. Willis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Winner circles away quickly and effectively. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Winner scores with a sloppy right hand. Willis should have avoided that one. Winner cracks a nice hook into Willis's ribs. Winner scores with a leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Malcolm Winner dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Willis gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Willis shoots in looking for a takedown but Winner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Willis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Willis shoots in for a takedown but Winner shows good takedown defense. Winner lands with a shot to the body. The fight moves into the clinch position. A quick uppercut on the inside from Winner. Willis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Malcolm Winner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Willis. Winner lands a shoulder strike. Willis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Winner breaks the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Willis. Willis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Willis takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Willis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Winner lands a big head kick that sends Willis tumbling to the mat! Winner takes a step backwards and waves Willis back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Willis is rocked! Willis circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Winner. Willis falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Winner!
