The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Paco.
Paco shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shamba sprawls well. Shamba wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Paco gets slowly back to his feet.
Shamba moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Paulo Paco has been cut.
Paco fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shamba avoids it really well and circles away.
Besik Shamba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Paco.
Paco shoots in for a double leg but Shamba sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Paco throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shamba's waist but Shamba gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Paco off to one side.
Shamba displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Paco.
