Manliest's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ontlogy. Da Silva has chosen Domination as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, The Manliest! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Da Silva! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Da Silva leaves Manliest with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Da Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Manliest's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Da Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Manliest is retaining full guard. Manliest looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Manliest is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Manliest missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Da Silva manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Manliest keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Da Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Manliest slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manliest is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Da Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Da Silva's back! Da Silva is trying to remain composed but Manliest is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Manliest is looking for a rear naked choke here but Da Silva reverses the position brilliantly into Manliest's guard!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Da Silva is looking to stand up but Manliest won't let him.

Manliest is trying to drag Da Silva to the mat but Da Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Manliest. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Da Silva unloads a knee to the mid-section. Manliest lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rafael Da Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

It looks like The Manliest has been cut. Manliest has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Da Silva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Manliest jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Da Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Manliest gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rafael Da Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Da Silva lands with a slapping head kick. Manliest on the wrong end of a nice hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Manliest uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Da Silva.

Da Silva seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Da Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Da Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Manliest is retaining full guard. Manliest is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Manliest has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Da Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The Manliest overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
