Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Turdang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flash Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Turdang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Flash Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gordon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Turdang tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gordon throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Turdang works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Gordon is thwarting Turdang's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gordon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Gordon wants to free his trapped foot but Turdang is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gordon fails to land the takedown.
Nice sprawl there from Turdang as Gordon shoots in.
Thomas Turdang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Flash Gordon.
Gordon shoots in but no luck this time.
Gordon tries to close the distance and clinch but Turdang swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Horrible takedown by Turdang or perhaps it was just good defense by Gordon which made him look bad.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Turdang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gordon as he jumps to the side.

and Turdang decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gordon's guard.

so Turdang counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Turdang drives through and clinches with Gordon against the cage.
Gordon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Turdang has him pressed against the cage.

Gordon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gordon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Gordon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Turdang is looking to escape.
Gordon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Turdang rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gordon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Turdang counters by moving into the clinch.
Gordon drags the fight down to the ground.
Gordon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gordon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Turdang is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Gordon is fighting off a takedown attempt but Turdang is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gordon to the mat. Gordon regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Gordon wants to get back to his feet but Turdang passes into half guard.

Turdang decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Gordon throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Turdang's head.
Turdang gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gordon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Gordon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Turdang's head.

Gordon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turdang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gordon stands up and waves to Turdang to follow him.
Turdang shoots in for a double leg but Gordon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Turdang gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gordon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turdang swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Flash Gordon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Turdang's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
