The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pope connects with a single shot there.

It looks like Tj Cummings has been cut.
Pope takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Jesus Pope has been cut.
A low kick from Pope misses
and Cummings counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pope uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cummings.
Pope needs to keep his hands up - Cummings had a free shot at his head there.
Pope pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Cummings moves out of range as Pope strikes.
Cummings will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cummings feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Pope sprawling to the canvas! Pope rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cummings finish him?!

That has opened up Jesus Pope's cut even more.
Pope misses with a wild body shot.

Nice takedown defense from Cummings. No joy for Pope on that attempt.
Cummings misses with an uppercut.
Pope walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Pope throws a head kick but Cummings moves out of range.
Pope misses with a leg kick
and Cummings counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Pope to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Cummings!
