Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Version Two! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pablo Garza! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Two looks to throw the jab but Garza is out of range. Two stuffs the takedown. Garza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Two as he avoids it easily. A cross from Two lands. Garza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pablo Garza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Garza tries for a takedown but Two sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Version Two has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Garza. Two circles away from the clinch attempt and Two counters with a stiff right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garza tries to clinch but fails miserably and Two counters with a straight right hand. Garza throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garza scores with a punch to the head. Garza wants to clinch but Two slips to the side and Two counters with a nice body shot. Garza is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Garza tries to score a power double leg takedown but Two sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Garza somewhat. Garza tries to clinch but Two moves out of range. Garza misses with a double jab
letting Two counter with a right hand. Two defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Garza.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garza looks to clinch letting Two counter with a right hand. Two moves into range and clinches up with Garza. Two lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Two breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Garza darts in trying to clinch and Two counters with a lovely straight right hand! Garza looks gassed! Garza shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Two sprawls well. Two wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Garza gets slowly back to his feet. Garza swings away with a body shot that misses
and Two counters by moving into the clinch. Garza blocks an uppercut.
Garza tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Two smiles and moves away.
Two tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Two misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Garza.
Garza tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Two swivels and escapes. Garza on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Two cracks Garza with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Nice shot lands for Two. Two is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Two lands a nice shot to the body.
Two connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Version Two is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garza takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Two works Garza's body with a nice hook. Two scores with a jab to the head.
Garza takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Two lands a right hook to the body.
Two lands a really nice looking cross but Garza seems unphased.
Two has taken the fight to the clinch.
Two lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Garza. Two lands with a left to the head. Two controlling the action here for a moment.
A short right from Two on the inside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Version Two dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Two with a jab. No luck for Garza with that takedown attempt. Pablo Garza is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Garza is defended easily by Two. Two cracks Garza with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Two listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Garza is breathing heavily. Garza takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Garza drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for Two. Garza throws a lazy head kick letting Two counter with a right hand. A bone on bone clash there as Garza blocks the leg kick.
Garza tries to clinch up and Two counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Two lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Two fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Garza on the side of the head. Two bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Garza's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garza takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Two cracks Garza with an open hand slap. Two scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Garza throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Garza swinging wildly here.
Two misses with a head kick.
Two sizes up Garza with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Garza walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Two lands with a right hand. Two scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Garza doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Two lands with a right hand. Two cracks Garza with a right hand to the side of the head. Two lands a leg kick that knocks Garza off balance momentarily. Garza drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Two scores with a hook to the body. Garza takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Two connects with a good right hand that stumbles Garza. Garza circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Two chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Two clinches. Garza is trying desperately to land a takedown but Two is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Garza. Two lands a left hand.
Two displaying some good clinch control by pressing Garza up against the cage. Two lands with a right to the head. Two stalling the fight.
Garza blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Two lands a body shot. Two lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Garza or not. Garza has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Two's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Two breaks from the clinch.
Two works Garza's body with a nice hook. Two scores with a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Version Two dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
A head kick from Two lands but Garza takes it in his stride. Two lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Two throws a solid leg kick but Garza takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Two. Garza closes the distance and clinches up with Two, looking for a takedown. Garza pushes Two against the cage but Two circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Two keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Garza tries to clinch up and Two counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Two changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Garza takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Two looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Two throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Garza on the side of the head. Two jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Two thuds a left hand into Garza's body. Two is looking to score with low kicks. Two connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Garza's hands. Two scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Garza on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Garza takes a shot to the body in his stride.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Two scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Two.
Two takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Garza tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Two dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Two cracks Garza with a right hand to the side of the head. Version Two is winning the standup battle so far. Two throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Garza blocks a leg kick. Garza walks into a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garza ducks right into an uppercut from Two. Two bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Garza's head backwards. A jab from Two does it's job there. Two looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Two scores with a body shot.
Garza looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Two connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Garza fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Two jabs Garza right on the nose. Garza blinks but takes it well. Two connects with the punch. Two throws a right hand that Garza ducks under and follows up with a left that Garza also avoids with ease. Garza walks into a left hand. Two stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Garza gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Two. Two lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A lazy left from Two finds it's target. Pablo Garza has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Version Two is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Garza drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
And that's the end of the fight! Version Two showed his dominance in that final round. Well Two has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
