Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Garcia but Garcia pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Nelson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nelson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garcia manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Garcia had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nelson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Garcia Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nelson's back instead.
Garcia wants to control but Nelson is keeping busy.

Nelson turns into Garcia and is now in his guard.
Garcia has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nelson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Garcia is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Nelson is defending well though. Garcia let's go of the attempt for now.
