Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paris France!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mariusz Tomb!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomb tries to close the distance and clinch but France swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
France moves into the clinch.
Tomb has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. France is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Tomb's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Tomb trying to control the position but instead, France has worked for underhooks and has pushed Tomb into the cage.
France putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Tomb in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Tomb fails to pull guard.
France jumps into guard, dragging Tomb to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
France preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Tomb decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on France, up you get!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tomb shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts France as he jumps to the side.
Paris France has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mariusz Tomb.
Tomb blocks the body kick.
Tomb throws a head kick but France moves out of range.
Tomb misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
France stuffs the takedown attempt from Tomb. Tomb gets slowly back to his feet.
Tomb tries a low kick but France avoids it.
France clinches up with Tomb and pushes him back against the cage.
Tomb can't break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tomb tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. France smiles and moves away.
Tomb looks gassed!
France is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
France clinches with his opponent.
France lands an elbow just above Tomb 's eye.
It looks like Mariusz Tomb has been cut.
A knee to the head by France.
Tomb tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. France smiles and moves away.
France gets the takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
France lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tomb down.
France wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tomb keeps working.
Tomb is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
France working away.
France tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
France trying to control the position but Tomb is working away.
Tomb is trying to control France's posture but France avoids it.
France cracks Tomb with an elbow. That is naaassty.
France working the body and head with strikes.
France tries to advance to mount but can't.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
France tries to stand but Tomb is controlling his head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
France trying to control the action but Tomb is working from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tomb stops France from passing to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paris France dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mariusz Tomb's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
France clinches up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Tomb's face as he tries to break the clinch.
France lands a big knee to the head and Tomb goes down! France pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paris France!
