The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wylde Rhoads counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now.
Wylde Rhoads is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Jackson can't keep his opponent in guard - Wylde Rhoads advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Wylde Rhoads tries to pass to full mount but Jackson defends it.
Wylde Rhoads seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Wylde Rhoads looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wylde Rhoads wants to pass the guard but Jackson is defending well.

Wylde Rhoads working for a guillotine from mount but Jackson is in no mood to give up.
Jackson is trying to escape the mount but Wylde Rhoads keeps good control and instead manages to take Jackson's back.
