Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pikku Hiawatha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiawatha comes to the cage accompanied by The Gael. Barnes has chosen Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiawatha shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barnes pinned against the cage. Barnes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice sprawl there from Barnes as Hiawatha shoots in.
A clash of legs there as Barnes blocks the low kick.
Barnes attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

It looks like Pikku Hiawatha has been cut.
Barnes tries to bum rush Hiawatha with a series of wild strikes but Hiawatha uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Barnes scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hiawatha in his tracks.
Barnes cracks Hiawatha with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A nice leg kick lands there from Barnes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hiawatha.

Hiawatha throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Barnes leaves Hiawatha with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Barnes scores with a jab to the body.
Hiawatha feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Hiawatha won't allow Barnes to sweep him here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hiawatha accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hiawatha is pushing down on Barnes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Barnes is fighting to maintain full guard but Hiawatha has managed to sneak the leg through.

Hiawatha wants to take a breather but Barnes is having none of it.

Barnes is in trouble now - Hiawatha has advanced to mount!
Hiawatha can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Barnes is looking to escape.
Hiawatha prevents Barnes from getting the reversal.
Barnes bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hiawatha working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barnes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barnes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hiawatha is on top in guard.
Barnes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hiawatha is one step ahead there.

Hiawatha stands and throws Barnes's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

You can see the frustration on Barnes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Barnes is looking to regain half guard here but Hiawatha keeps moving and retains side control.
Hiawatha is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Barnes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hiawatha fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Barnes on the side of the head.
Hiawatha tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barnes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hiawatha somewhat.

Barnes throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hiawathas head.
Hiawatha tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Barnes's elbow.

Barnes wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hiawatha has him pressed against the cage.
Barnes misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Barnes throws a punch but it's blocked by Hiawatha.
Hiawatha has a couple of punches blocked by Barnes.
Barnes tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hiawatha's elbow.
Barnes presses Hiawatha against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Barnes tries to work over Hiawatha's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Barnes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hiawatha shoots in looking for a takedown. Barnes tries to sprawl out of it but Hiawatha keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barnes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hiawatha wants to stay close but Barnes steps back to make room for something. Hiawatha seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Barnes and Hiawatha drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
