Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pete Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by No Surrender. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pete Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Greg Williams! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams throws a sloppy head kick and Steel counters by clinching up. Steel blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Williams is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Steel is keeping busy. Steel has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Williams manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Williams stalling in the clinch but Steel improves position. Williams lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Williams lands a takedown into guard.
Williams wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. Steel pulls Williams in close to prevent any damage. Steel wants to stand up but Williams is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Steel is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Williams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Steel is pulling down on Williams's head to control his posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Pete Steel wasn't doing enough on the ground. Williams motions for Steel to come forward. Williams throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Williams throws a body punch but Steel moves out of range. Williams shoots in for a double leg but Steel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Pete Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice defenses there by Steel. Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steel swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams fails in his attempt to clinch. Steel instigates a clinch. Williams is working for takedown but Steel is calmly controlling the position for now. Steel is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Williams can't fight it off and eventually Steel manages to take the fight to the floor. Williams looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Steel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Williams works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Steel tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard. Steel in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Steel wanted to stand there but Williams had control of the position. Steel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Steel gets to his feet - Williams follows without any prompting. Steel slips a straight right by Williams.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel has closed the distance and engaged Williams in a clinch.
Steel pulls guard effortlessly. Williams trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steel has his feet on Williams's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Williams wants to clinch. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Williams. Steel has taken the fight to the clinch.
Steel digs a right hand into Williams's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Williams's gas tank. Steel is pushing Williams up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams misses with the head strike.
Steel tries for a takedown but Williams manages to get underhooks.
Williams gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Williams taking a breather. Williams stalling in the clinch.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Williams creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Steel is trying to break free. Steel tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Steel jumps guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Steel is controlling Williams's posture. Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Steel dominated that round. That's time! Steel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Williams moves into the clinch. Steel breaks from the clinch.
Williams turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Williams connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Steel moves into range and clinches up with Williams. Steel jumps guard but Williams stands there with Steel around his waist. Steel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Williams stalling in the clinch but Steel improves position. Williams keeps control of Steel as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Steel blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A battle for position here, against the cage. A shot in the inside from Steel. Steel tries to score a body lock takedown but Williams shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Steel manages to pull guard.
Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Steel wriggles free and stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams tries to clinch but Steel is having none of it. Greg Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams takes a swing at Steel's ribcage but misses. Steel moves into the clinch. Knees to the body from Williams.

Williams decides to pull guard. Williams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Steel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard. Williams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Steel is one step ahead there. Williams keeping full guard, as Steel tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Steel trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Steel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Williams tries to clinch up but Steel circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams throws a nice head kick!

Williams fails with the takedown. Steel gets a clinch. Steel tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Williams just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pete Steel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steel tries for a takedown but Williams manages to get underhooks.
A bit of stalling here from Williams.
Williams pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Steel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Williams throws an overhand right that lands on Steel's shoulder, as Steel tries to avoid the shot. Steel pushes Williams up against the cage in a clinch. Williams trying to stall but Steel improves his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel is trying to force a seperation but Williams has the dominant position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Williams's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Steel lands with a short head shot on the inside. Williams missing with knees to the body.
Williams wants to stall.
Steel misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Williams.

Williams throws a head kick that misses and Steel moves into the clinch. Steel on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Steel is looking to break free of the clinch but Williams has double underhooks. Williams tries to land knees in the clinch but Steel avoids the damage to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Greg Williams will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Williams tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Steel avoids it. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Williams just misses with a elbow thrown towards Steel's brow. Steel pulls guard. Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Steel is controlling Williams's posture. Steel keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Steel is keeping the position for now. Steel trying to keep a closed guard but Williams is proving a slippery customer.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Williams passes Steel's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Williams wants to advance to full mount but Steel doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Steel wants to get back to his feet but Williams is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. Steel looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Williams trying to control but Steel is working from the bottom. Steel is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Williams has his hands clasped together but Steel extends an breaks Williams's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Steel.
