Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lyoto Machida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida thumps McPheters with a low kick.
McPheters moves out of range as Machida throws a body kick.
McPheters feints and as Machida raises his hands in defense, McPheters changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
McPheters drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McPheters jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McPheters stands up and waves to Machida to follow him.
McPheters fails to land with a series of punches.
McPheters shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

McPheters chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Machida can pounce on him.
