Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason McFadden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abbott's entrance music is Parental Discretion Advised. A fine choice. McFadden has chosen The Nobodies By Marilyn Manson as his entrance music. Jason McFadden will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFadden lands with a cross.
Abbott misses with a lunging right hand
and McFadden counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Abbott takes one on the button.
Abbott tries to close the distance and clinch but McFadden swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McFadden cracks Abbott with an open hand slap.
McFadden throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
McFadden throws a right hand that Abbott ducks under and follows up with a left that Abbott also avoids with ease.
McFadden lands a nice looking body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McFadden scores with a jab. Abbott acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Abbott ducks right into an uppercut from McFadden.
McFadden misses with a hook.

McFadden moves into range and connects with a jab.
McFadden displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Jason McFadden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McFadden has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

McFadden slips under a jab from Abbott.
McFadden throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Abbott throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A slow jab from McFadden misses its intended target.
McFadden throws out a loose jab but Abbott uses good head movement to avoid it.
McFadden tests Abbott's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Abbott uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McFadden.
McFadden is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Abbott had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Abbott bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

McFadden lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Abbott takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

McFadden is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McFadden scores with a sloppy right hand. Abbott should have avoided that one.
McFadden works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

It looks like Jason McFadden has been cut.
McFadden cracks Abbott with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Abbott is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Abbott takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Good shot there by McFadden.
Abbott moves out of range of the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason McFadden dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jason McFadden's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


McFadden tests Abbott's chin there with a solid looking shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McFadden wants to get back to striking at distance but Abbott won't allow it.
McFadden is trying to break the clinch but Abbott has him pressed against the ropes.
McFadden is breathing heavily.
Abbott digs a right hand into McFadden's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on McFadden's gas tank.
Abbott throws a blind hook that connects with the side of McFaddens head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abbott lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt McFadden or not.

Abbott has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed McFadden clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Abbott is working the ground and pound. Can McFadden escape?
Can McFadden hold on?! Abbott is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.


That has opened up Jason McFadden's cut even more.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Abbott's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Abbott is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Abbott gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Abbott gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Abbott apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Abbott throws a lazy right hand but McFadden sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
McFadden throws a hook to the side of Abbott's head but Abbott sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Abbott misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McFadden.
McFadden's corner calls for a 1-2. McFadden obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Abbott needs to keep his hands up - McFadden had a free shot at his head there.
McFadden cracks Abbott with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

McFadden throws a looping overhand right but Abbott ducks down to avoid it.
McFadden throws a hook but Abbott blocks it.
McFadden slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

McFadden uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Abbott.

No joy there for McFadden, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Abbott counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


The cut above Jason McFadden's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Abbott uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McFadden.
McFadden catches Abbott with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

McFadden feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Abbotts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
McFadden throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Abbott misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McFadden scores with a punch to the head.
Abbott looks to land a left hand but McFadden moved out of range nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McFadden digs a good body shot into Abbott's ribs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Abbott cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


Jason McFadden's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jason McFadden's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). David Abbott!
