The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Nakamura pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silva is keeping the position for now.
Silva has Nakamura pulled in close to control his posture.
Silva is trying to control the position but Nakamura postures up.
Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nakamura gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Silva throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva thows a huge punch but Nakamura dodges it nicely.
Nakamura kicks Silva off and gets back to his feet.
Nakamura drives through with a takedown into guard.

Silva wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nakamura scores with a leg kick.
Silva throws a head kick that Nakamura semi-blocks.
Silva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nakamura did well to prevent Silva getting side control.
Nakamura wants to get back to his feet.
Silva passes to side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva prevents Nakamura from escaping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Silva dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nakamura darts in trying to clinch
and Silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Nakamura escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diego Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nakamura counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.
Nakamura stands up.
Nakamura misses with a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nakamura shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Silva moves into full guard.
Silva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
We're going to have a standup here because Hirisuma Nakamura wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Silva feints and as Nakamura raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nakamura looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.
Silva stands and throws Nakamura's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Nakamura tries to buck Silva off but Silva is having none of it.
Nakamura wants to get back to his feet.
Nakamura is looking for a sweep.

Silva is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Nakamura is trying to escape and Silva transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Nakamura is forced to tap! Nice work there by Silva! Very nice indeed!
