Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salocin Zerep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson comes to the cage accompanied by Remember the Name by Fort Minor. Salocin Zerep has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thomas Peterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Salocin Zerep! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zerep lands a really nice looking cross but Peterson seems unphased.
Peterson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zerep's waist but Zerep gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Peterson off to one side. Peterson shoots in for a double leg but Zerep sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Zerep stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Peterson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zerep dips to his left and cracks Peterson with an uppercut! Peterson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Zerep tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Peterson is in Zerep's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Peterson drops back looking for a leg! Zerep is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zerep manages to kick Peterson off! Peterson jumps back into Zerep's guard. Zerep looking to control.
Peterson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Peterson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Peterson advances to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson prevents Zerep from improving his position. Peterson is looking to advance position but Zerep won't allow it. Peterson seems to be working for a kimura but Zerep defends the submission attempt. Peterson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Zerep defending well though. Zerep sizes up Peterson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Zerep will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Peterson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Zerep lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Nice shot by Zerep. Peterson misses with a takedown attempt - Zerep sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Zerep lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Peterson is rocked! Thomas Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peterson looks for a takedown but Zerep sprawls well. Zerep instigates a clinch. Zerep prevents the takedown attempt.

Still in the clinch, Zerep scores with a nice short uppercut. Oh Peterson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Zerep gets through Peterson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A nice right hand lands inside from Zerep. Zerep controlling the action here for a moment.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A shot in the inside from Zerep.

Peterson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Peterson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Zerep lands a right hand that snaps the head of Peterson backwards. Peterson is trying to drag Zerep to the mat but Zerep just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Peterson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Salocin Zerep showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Zerep lands a body shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Zerep creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. A short left from Zerep. Zerep throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Zerep lands a body punch. A nice right hand lands inside from Zerep. A right hand to the body from Zerep.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zerep lands a nice shot to the body. Zerep lands a hook that snaps the head of Peterson backwards. Zerep pushes Peterson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Zerep scores with a shoulder strike. Zerep throws a big uppercut that drops Peterson! More strikes from Zerep and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Peterson lies dazed against the cage as Zerep celebrates with his cornermen!
