That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tomisino crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from John - the referee stops the clock and Tomisino gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says John. Tomisino manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Tomisino shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tomisino showed some decent athleticism there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tomisino has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tomisino connects with a nice short shot to John's temple.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
John is refusing to be controlled, as Tomisino sits in half guard.
Tomisino thows a huge punch but John dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tomisino closes the distance and clinches up with John, looking for a takedown. Tomisino pushes John against the cage but John circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
John tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
John lands a big head kick that sends Tomisino tumbling to the mat! John takes a step backwards and waves Tomisino back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

John lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Tomisino can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from John and Tomisino drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by John.
