The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koscheck takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Aaron Koscheck has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Koscheck is defended easily by Van Dam.

Koscheck takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Van Dam rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Koscheck moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Van Dam lands a left and a right that send Koscheck crashing to the mat, dazed. Van Dam thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Koscheck is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

enabling Koscheck to counter with a crisp jab.
Koscheck switches off momentarily and Van Dam cracks him with a monster right hand! Koscheck topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Van Dam dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Van Dam!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brian Van Dam!
