Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Borgstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borgstein's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Megadeth - Headcrusher. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nate Borgstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Mendez! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Borgstein. Mendez closes the distance looking to clinch and Borgstein counters by moving into the clinch. Borgstein prevents Mendez from breaking the clinch. Mendez lands a body shot. A nice left hand lands by Borgstein.
Borgstein manages to break the clinch.
Borgstein misses with a takedown attempt - Mendez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Borgstein tries to clinch up. Mendez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Mendez tries to clinch but fails miserably and Borgstein holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Mendez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mendez gets tackled into the cage by Borgstein. Borgstein maintains the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Borgstein breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Borgstein closes the distance and lands a one-two. Nice straight punches there by Borgstein. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Borgstein. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Borgstein tries to clinch but Mendez moves out of range. Borgstein sizes up Mendez with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. The fight moves into the clinch position. Mendez tries to circle away but Borgstein has him pinned against the cage. Borgstein drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Borgstein has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mendez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Borgstein lands a two punch combo.
Mendez slips under a jab from Borgstein.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Borgstein has managed to clinch.
Borgstein crunches a lovely knee into Mendez's ribcage. Borgstein misses with a punch to the body.
Mendez is looking to break free of the clinch but Borgstein has double underhooks. Borgstein throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mendezs head. Borgstein successfully pulls guard.
Mendez wants to control from the top but Borgstein keeps moving. Borgstein working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mendez. Borgstein will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Borgstein wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Borgstein has his feet on Mendez's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Borgstein shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Borgstein showed some decent athleticism there. Mendez is trying to stand back up but Borgstein is controlling him
Mendez looks gassed! Borgstein missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Mendez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Borgstein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Borgstein escapes and gets back to his feet. Borgstein tries to clinch but Mendez is having none of it. Borgstein moves into range and clinches up with Mendez.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Borgstein tries a knee to the head but Mendez blocks it.
Mendez wants to break free but Borgstein has control.
Borgstein tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Borgstein prevents a body shot from Mendez. Mendez goes for a takedown attempt but Borgstein pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Borgstein motions for Mendez to come forward. Borgstein throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Borgstein rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mendez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Borgstein shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Borgstein landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nate Borgstein dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Borgstein looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mendez! Borgstein wants to finish this one by submission but Mendez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Borgstein. Borgstein is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mendez can do to turn this around? Borgstein throwing strikes here but Mendez is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Borgstein fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
A nice elbow there by Borgstein. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Borgstein unloads with some shots from mount but Mendez bucks and avoids them well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Borgstein is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mendez can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Borgstein has control of Mendez's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mendez regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Borgstein postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mendez looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mendez is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Borgstein raining down hammerfists from mount. Borgstein working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Borgstein lands with some strikes. Borgstein in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Borgstein throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mendez because Borgstein loaded up on that one. Borgstein avoids the attempt from Mendez to control. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Borgstein cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Borgstein scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Mendez is rocked! Borgstein sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Borgstein postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mendez looks a forlorn figure.
Mendez is still in real trouble! Can Borgstein finish him? Borgstein throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Mendez has his hands clasped together but Borgstein breaks the hold and Mendez is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Borgstein!
