Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kodarc Beastmaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tunturi Pony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kodarc Beastmaster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tunturi Pony!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beastmaster misses with a hook to the body
and Pony counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Beastmaster wants to clinch up but Pony keeps it at a distance.
Pony swinging wildly here.
Pony throws a looping overhand right but Beastmaster ducks down to avoid it.

Beastmaster moves into range and clinches up with Pony.
Beastmaster is trying to drag Pony to the mat but Pony just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A frustrated look appears on Pony's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Pony looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Beastmaster drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pony gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Beastmaster tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pony's elbow.
Beastmaster has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pony is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kodarc Beastmaster. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pony has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Pony blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Beastmaster misses with a hook from the clinch.
Pony prevents a body shot from Beastmaster.

Pony will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Beastmaster up against the cage.
Pony tries to circle away but Beastmaster has him pinned against the cage.
Beastmaster goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pony wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Beastmaster has him pressed against the cage.
Beastmaster is pressed up against the cage. Pony has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Beastmaster down to the mat. Beastmaster avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Beastmaster drives through with a takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Beastmaster sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pony working a defensive guard here.

Beastmaster trying to control the position from guard on top but Pony is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Beastmaster is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pony is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kodarc Beastmaster wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Beastmaster gets a double leg takedown into Pony's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pony utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Beastmaster won't allow Pony to sweep him here.
Beastmaster throwing strikes from guard but Pony blocks nicely.

Pony has his foot on Beastmaster's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beastmaster works his way back into a safe position though.

Pony looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Beastmaster passes into side control.
Beastmaster tries to score with some ground and pound. Pony controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Beastmaster working the ground and pound but Pony is defending the strikes.
Beastmaster postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Pony takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Beastmaster in side control lands a decent elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pony dodges the ground and pound from Beastmaster.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Beastmaster cracks Pony with a big elbow.

Beastmaster thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kodarc Beastmaster dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Pony lands an overhand right.
Pony shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beastmaster but Beastmaster pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tunturi Pony seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pony scores with a three punch combo!
Pony fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Beastmaster closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Beastmaster working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Beastmaster working over Pony with some ground and pound. Pony looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Beastmaster seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pony does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Pony is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Beastmaster's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Beastmaster's back!

Pony is working the ground and pound. Can Beastmaster escape?

Pony wants to control but Beastmaster manages to buck him off and is now in Pony's guard! Nice work there by Beastmaster!
Pony is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Beastmaster looking to sit in guard and control but Pony gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pony slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Pony wants to control from the top but Beastmaster keeps moving.
Pony advances to half guard.
Beastmaster is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pony looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Pony sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Beastmaster defending well though.
Beastmaster tries to get to full guard but Pony has control of the leg.
Pony works his way into side control.
Pony blocks the strikes from Beastmaster.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Beastmaster is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pony's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tunturi Pony showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Pony moves out of range as Beastmaster strikes.
Pony dives in and grabs Beastmaster's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beastmaster pushes down on Pony's head and hops out.
Beastmaster lands a nice hook to Pony's body. Pony takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Pony shoots for a takedown but Beastmaster saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Beastmaster slips a straight right by Pony.
Pony lands a right hook to the body.

Beastmaster scores a takedown into full mount!
Beastmaster punching from mount but Pony doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Pony is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Beastmaster is working for a guillotine from mount but Pony frees his head quite easily.
Pony is trying to escape the mount.
Beastmaster throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Pony tries to get back to half guard but can't.

BOOM! Beastmaster connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Pony is wriggling around trying to escape.
Beastmaster misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Pony wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Beastmaster.
Beastmaster looking to control but Pony is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The referee warns Pony that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Kodarc Beastmaster showed his dominance in that final round.
