Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Colin Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eino Nappi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Burton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Crying Game - Professor Green. Nappi has chosen O Fortuna as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton thows a left - swing and a miss!
Burton throws a low kick but Nappi moves out of range easily.
A head kick misses from Nappi.
Burton looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Nappi cracks the inside of Burton's front leg.
Burton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nappi manages to avoid it.
Burton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Burton tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Nappi counters with a takedown into side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Nappi trying to control the position but Burton is working away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nappi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Burton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Burton takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

A bone on bone clash there as Burton blocks the leg kick.
Burton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nappi manages to avoid it.
Burton displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nappi.

Nappi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Burton sprawls well. Burton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nappi gets slowly back to his feet.
Colin Burton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Burton checks a leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Burton.
Burton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fighters circle momentarily. Nappi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Burton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nappi shoots in for a double leg but Burton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Colin Burton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eino Nappi.

Burton forces Nappi back against the cage and clinches.

Nappi avoids a wild elbow strike from Burton.
Nappi swings wildly with an uppercut but Burton uses good head movement to avoid it.
Burton with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Nappi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Burton walks away with a smile on his face. Nappi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Burton is looking to wear down Nappi with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Nappi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burton was well out of range. Poor timing from Nappi.

Nappi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Burton fails in his attempt to clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice uppercut there from Nappi.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Burton bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nappi's head backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Colin Burton will probably get the nod.

Burton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nappi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Burton thows a body kick. Nappi tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Burton moves to clinch but Nappi breaks away
and Nappi counters with an outside leg kick.
Burton lands with an overhand left.
Nappi checks a low kick from Burton.

Burton displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nappi.
Burton fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nappi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Burton scores with a hook.
Nappi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Burton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nappi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nappi swats away the attempt to clinch by Burton.

Burton takes the fight into the clinch.
Burton is pressed up against the cage. Nappi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Burton down to the mat. Burton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Nappi gets tackled into the cage by Burton. Burton maintains the clinch.
Nappi looking to throw knees to the head but Burton is blocking nicely.
Burton lands an elbow inside that Nappi shrugs off.

Nappi tries to land a knee to the head but Burton blocks with his arms.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Burton is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Nappi throws a knee to the head but misses.
Nappi is breathing heavily.
Nappi has had enough of the clinch but Burton keeps him there for the moment.
Burton crunches a lovely knee into Nappi's ribcage.
Nappi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Burton gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Burton connects with a nasty looking knee right to Nappi's face.

It looks like Eino Nappi has been cut.
Burton is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Nappi is defending well for now.

Nappi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nappi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Burton as he jumps to the side.
Burton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Burton takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Burton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nappi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The fight stays on the outside here - Burton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Burton tries to clinch there but Nappi circles away.

and Nappi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Burton!
