Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jesus Christ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pain Peters!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Peters gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Christ to score an easy takedown into full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Christ accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Peters is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Christ defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peters seems keen to control Christ's posture.

Christ is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Peters is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Peters has escaped and now he's on top!
Christ wants to sweep but no luck.
Christ is working hard here to advance position.

Peters thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Peters tries to free his leg and advance position but Christ is retaining full guard.

Christ bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Peters's guard.
Christ is looking to advance position but Peters has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Peters with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Peters fails to advance to Christ's back.
Christ regains half guard.
Christ works his way to full guard. Good work.

Peters avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Peters drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Peters jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Christ is looking for a sweep. Peters is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Peters is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Christ defends it well.

Peters drops back looking for a leg! Christ is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Christ manages to kick Peters off! Peters jumps back into Christ's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Peters is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Peters tries to free his leg and advance position but Christ is retaining full guard.

Christ had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Peters defends it easily.
Christ tries to land a sweep but no joy.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Christ is on top in guard.
Christ loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Christ pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Peters is keeping the position for now.
Peters preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Peters lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Christ!

Peters has hold of Christ's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Christ manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Christ really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Christ regains half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Peters wants to work for an arm triangle but Christ is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Christ is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesus Christ dominated that round.
That's time! Christ's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Peters defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Christ.

Christ shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Peters's guard.

Christ throwing strikes but missing.
Peters looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Peters has momentary wrist control but Christ slips an elbow through the middle.
Christ slips nicely into half guard.
Christ looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Christ seems to be looking for submissions.
Peters manages to get to full guard.
Peters wants to sweep but no luck.
Christ throws a strike but Peters rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Christ is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Peters is aware though and is defending well.
Peters slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Christ tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Peters is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Christ is trying to escape and Peters transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Christ is forced to tap! Nice work there by Peters! Very nice indeed!
