Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josef Dietrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Pearce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Dietrich.
Dietrich darts in and clinches Pearce up against the cage.
Pearce looking to slow down the pace here.
Dietrich pushes Pearce back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Pearce changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dietrich fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Pearce takes the fight into the clinch.

Pearce turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pearce manages to end up in side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Pearce looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Dietrich is avoiding damage well.
Dietrich regains half guard, as Pearce was trying to land strikes.

Pearce prevents Dietrich from getting back to his feet.

Dietrich is looking for a triangle but Pearce pushes his legs off easily.
Dietrich is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pearce defends well.

Pearce sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Dietrich doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Pearce paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Dietrich - great work!
