The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kaputt throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Kerum stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Kaputt follows into mount!

It looks like Zeljko Kerum has been cut.
Kerum is trying desperately to improve position.
Kerum slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Kaputt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kerum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kaputt wants to pass the guard but Kerum is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kerum has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kaputt is working away from the top position though.

Kaputt uses his free foot to push down on Kerum's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kerum.
Kaputt is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Kaputt tries to control but Kerum wriggling away.
Kaputt sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kaputt is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kerum is surviving well by controlling Kaputt's body position as best he can.

Kaputt thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kerum is looking for a sweep. Kaputt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kaputt throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Kerum is staying active underneath Kaputt, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kaputt is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kerum doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kaputt.

Kerum is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kaputt pulls his head out easily.
Kerum is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kerum has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Kaputt. Oh but Kerum has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Kaputt goes limp - he's gone! Kerum jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
