Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nomor Gai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Batista de Guia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). de Guia is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Quilombo" by Soulfly. Batista de Guia is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gai avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
de Guia throws a lazy right hand but Gai sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
de Guia gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

de Guia is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gai is controlling him.
Gai throws and elbow that misses. de Guia uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gai's guard. Nice move by de Guia!

Gai is not content to let de Guia control the position.

de Guia cracks Gai with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nomor Gai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
de Guia throws a sloppy head kick and Gai moves out of range easily.

Gai ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gai just misses with a punch to the body.

de Guia darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
de Guia is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nomor Gai will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
de Guia pushes Gai up against the cage in a clinch.
de Guia is looking to control Gai's arms but Gai gets an underhook and turns him. Now de Guia has his back to the cage.
de Guia gets control of Gai's arms and successfully pulls guard. de Guia will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gai throws and elbow that misses. de Guia uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gai's guard. Nice move by de Guia!

de Guia is pressing down on Gai's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gai is holding on for now.

de Guia tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gai knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
de Guia is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Gai is looking to control de Guia's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gai avoid being mounted?
The fighters are battling for position here. Gai manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Batista de Guia has got the better of the ground game so far.
Gai is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Gai's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Nomor Gai just wasn't active enough.
de Guia connects with a leg kick. Gai looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gai, as that shot connected.

Gai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by de Guia.

Gai shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! de Guia is on queer street and Gai is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
