0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ronald Chinner! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor cracks Chinner with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Taylor drops Chinner with a big left hand and mounts him. Chinner is in big trouble!
Chinner is rocked!
It looks like Ronald Chinner has been cut. Taylor jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Chinner manages to avoid the submission attempt. Chinner is still in real trouble! Can Taylor finish him? Taylor is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Chinner knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Taylor trying to control the position but Chinner is working away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chinner sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Chinner tries to get to full guard but Taylor has control of the leg. Taylor wants to pass the guard but Chinner is defending well. That's one minute gone in the round. Chinner makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Chinner. Taylor slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Taylor wants to control from the top but Chinner keeps moving. Chinner is trying to control the position but Taylor postures up. Chinner keeping full guard, as Taylor tries to pass. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Chinner controls Taylor momentarily but Taylor frees himself.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Chinner fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Chinner is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Taylor fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taylor stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. A cross from Taylor lands. This has been an exciting period of action! Chinner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Chinner looks gassed! Taylor bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Chinner's head. Taylor throws a right hand that Chinner ducks under and follows up with a left that Chinner also avoids with ease. Chinner fails to land the takedown. Shaun Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Chinner. Taylor lands a slapping body shot.
Taylor lands a big right hook! Chinner looks hurt but is still standing! Taylor lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Chinner falls down and Taylor dives in with a huge hammer fist! Chinner's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Taylor runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
