Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Black Belt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul von Konkelberries!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Belt tries to close the distance and clinch up but von Konkelberries swats him away and circles back towards the center.
von Konkelberries changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Belt tries to avoid it but von Konkelberries manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Belt to the ground. Belt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
von Konkelberries misses with a body shot.
von Konkelberries moves away from the strike by Belt.
von Konkelberries lands the left hand.
Belt walks into a left hand.
von Konkelberries looks to land a left hand but Belt moved out of range nicely.
von Konkelberries takes a swing at Belt's ribcage but misses.
Belt throws a poor cross that misses
and von Konkelberries counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Belt moves forwards but von Konkelberries connects with a nice, crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Belt leaves von Konkelberries with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
von Konkelberries throws a series of punches but Belt avoids them all with ease.
von Konkelberries shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Belt but Belt pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Black Belt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul von Konkelberries.
That's one minute gone in the round.
von Konkelberries is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Belt.
Belt throws a jab but it's blocked by von Konkelberries.
Belt slips under a jab.
von Konkelberries drops Belt with a beautiful combination! Belt stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - von Konkelberries is looking for the KO!
It looks like Black Belt has been cut.
von Konkelberries lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Belt backs up against the cage.
Belt is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
von Konkelberries lands a brutal uppercut that launches Belt off his feet! Belt tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Paul von Konkelberries!
