Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duncan has chosen Haka as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hiro Aoki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Duncan! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aoki circles away from the clinch attempt.

Nice defenses there by Duncan. Duncan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aoki sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Aoki connects with a leg kick. Duncan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Duncan shoots for a double leg takedown but Aoki sprawls well. He's pushed Duncan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Duncan wants to clinch up but Aoki keeps it at a distance. Aoki cracks Duncan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Aoki fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Duncan sprawls well initially but Aoki persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Duncan tries to roll over but Aoki keeps him under control. Aoki is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Duncan sees it coming and defends easily. Duncan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Aoki.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Aoki has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Duncan holds on and takes a little breather. Aoki looking to pass the guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Aoki swings for the body but Duncan moves out of range.
Aoki connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Duncan moves into the clinch successfully.

Aoki tries to pull guard but Duncan holds him up against the cage and eventually Aoki drops back down to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Duncan is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Aoki is keeping busy. Duncan effectively controlling the action here. Duncan has Aoki pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Aoki manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Hiro Aoki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Duncan. Duncan goes for a takedown attempt but Aoki pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Duncan shoots in but no luck this time. Hiro Aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aoki misses with a few strikes there.
Duncan is looking to clinch. Aoki throws a shot from downtown. Duncan moves away and avoids it. Duncan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Aoki momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Duncan prevents Aoki from breaking the clinch. Duncan has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Aoki is trying to keep an underhook but Duncan manages to get the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Duncan sitting and controlling from the half guard. Aoki is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Duncan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Duncan's back! Aoki is looking for the choke from the back position but Duncan is controlling his hands well. Aoki wants to control but Duncan manages to buck him off and is now in Aoki's guard! Nice work there by Duncan! Aoki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Duncan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Duncan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Aoki is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Hiro Aoki will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Duncan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Duncan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Aoki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Duncan is in Aoki's guard. Aoki tries to land a sweep but no joy. Aoki not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Duncan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aoki swivels though and keeps the full guard. Aoki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Duncan is one step ahead there. Aoki is trying to control the position from the bottom.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Hiro Aoki wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Duncan shoots in and bounces Aoki off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aoki trying to keep a closed guard but Duncan is proving a slippery customer.
Aoki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Duncan's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aoki wants to control from the top but Duncan keeps moving. Aoki drops back, looking for a kneebar! Duncan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Duncan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Duncan! Duncan in side control lands a decent elbow. Duncan in side control lands a decent elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Duncan is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Aoki's shoulder. That is not cool. Aoki is looking for a sweep. Duncan lands a few punches from side control. Aoki takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Aoki is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duncan lands a huge shot from side control! Aoki is out cold! This one is all over!
