Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Udel Plebeev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yorihiko Jouichirou!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plebeev moves in looking to clinch but Jouichirou pushes him off.
Jouichirou looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Plebeev keeping moving, preventing Jouichirou from controlling successfully.
Plebeev has a closed guard, preventing Jouichirou from standing up.
Plebeev not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jouichirou won't allow Plebeev to sweep him here.
Plebeev is controlling Jouichirou's posture.
Jouichirou is looking to stand up but Plebeev won't let him.
Plebeev is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Jouichirou feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Plebeev avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jouichirou trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Plebeev manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Plebeev wants to control from the top but Jouichirou keeps moving.
Jouichirou has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Plebeev is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jouichirou.
You can see the frustration on Jouichirou's face as Plebeev controls the position.
Jouichirou is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Jouichirou wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Plebeev has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jouichirou is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Plebeev yanks on the arm and Jouichirou is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Plebeev.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Udel Plebeev!
