Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Davison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ens Shaba!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaba shoots in for a double leg but Davison sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Shaba shoots in looking for a takedown but Davison manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shaba's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Davison rushes Shaba and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Davison wants the takedown. Shaba is fighting it off but Davison persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Shaba's guard against the cage.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Davison has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shaba is proving hard to escape from.
Shaba throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Davison wants to stand but Shaba is controlling his posture from full guard.
Shaba tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Davison stands up and waves to Shaba to follow him.
Shaba with a lazy takedown attempt
and Davison counters with a good, hard body kick but Shaba shrugs it off.
Joe Davison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ens Shaba.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davison goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Davison tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shaba was well out of range. Poor timing from Davison.
A combination from Davison does no damage.
Shaba fails to land the takedown.
Shaba gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Davison counters with a three punch combo that has Shaba backing up. Shaba nods at Davison to acknowledge the strikes.
Shaba looks gassed!
Davison darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Shaba closes this distance looking for a takedown but Davison circles away.
Shaba shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davison as he avoids it easily.
Shaba's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Davison connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shaba scrambles back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shaba misses with a takedown
and Davison connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davison cracks Shaba with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Davison throws a right hand that Shaba ducks under and follows up with a left that Shaba also avoids with ease.

Davison drops Shaba with a beautiful combination! Shaba stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Davison is looking for the KO!


Shaba is rocked!
Shaba should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A nice leg kick lands there from Davison.
Shaba takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Shaba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davison pinned against the cage. Davison gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Davison drives through and clinches with Shaba against the cage.

Davison lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Davison escapes and gets back to his feet.
Joe Davison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davison cracks Shaba with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Joe Davison is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shaba walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A solid leg kick lands there for Davison.
Shaba walks into a stiff left hand from Davison.
Shaba is still on wobbly legs! Can Davison finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davison throws a pinpoint strike between Shaba's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Shaba crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Davison scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joe Davison!
