Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Will Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Hartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Will Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nathan Hartman!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartman shoots for a takedown but Banks saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sloppy strikes from Banks. Those never looked like landing.
A lazy left from Hartman finds it's target.
Hartman throws a nice looking combination but Banks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Banks slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Hartman stalks Banks and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Banks's face. Banks staggers backwards, shaken.

Hartman forces Banks back against the cage and clinches.

Hartman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hartman manages to end up in side control.
Hartman wants to control but Banks is keeping him busy.

Hartman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Banks keeps working.
Banks is pushing Hartman's head away, looking to escape. Hartman manages to hold on to the position though.

Hartman wants to control but Banks is keeping him busy.
Hartman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Hartman rushes Banks and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hartman has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Banks avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Banks changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hartman fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Banks throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hartman.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Hartman tries to close the distance and clinch but Banks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Banks uses his free foot to push down on Hartman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hartman.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Banks shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hartman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nathan Hartman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hartman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
