The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasquez has his takedown stuffed and Langdon counters with a stiff right hand. Langdon throws a head kick but Velasquez moves out of range.
Langdon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Velasquez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Langdon's guard now. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Velasquez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Langdon is wriggling around but Velasquez manages to pass to half guard.
Velasquez seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Langdon is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Chicharito Velasquez!
