Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Vaughn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Victor Vaughn is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Striker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Victor Vaughn! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Striker throws a wild body kick that Vaughn sees coming a mile off. Striker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bob Striker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Striker with a poor takedown and Vaughn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Vaughn thows a huge punch but Striker dodges it nicely.

Vaughn not landing any meaningful shots this time. Striker is trying to maintain the position but Vaughn is very close to passing his half guard. Striker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Vaughn missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vaughn lands a nice short elbow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Striker moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Vaughn lands a couple of decent looking shots. Vaughn loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Striker is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Vaughn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Striker wants to sweep here but Vaughn controlling him for the moment. Striker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Vaughn with a flurry of punches that miss. Vaughn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Striker is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Vaughn working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Striker's head. Vaughn postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Vaughn passes into half guard. Vaughn is trying to control. Striker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Striker is trying to control but Vaughn passes into side control!
Striker is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Vaughn working the ground and pound. Vaughn in side control, throwing shots but Striker defends. Vaughn working the body and head with strikes. Striker tries to get back to half guard but can't. You can see the frustration on Striker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vaughn working the body and head with strikes. Striker is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vaughn landing a few strikes. Vaughn is looking to take a break and control but Striker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Vaughn misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Vaughn throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Striker works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Striker trying to control but Vaughn postures up.
Striker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Striker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vaughn's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vaughn's back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vaughn holding on to Striker's left wrist, preventing the choke. Striker throwing sloppy strikes. Vaughn tries to roll but Striker sticks to his back.
A lull in the action here.
Vaughn is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vaughn trying to control the hands but Striker won't let him. Vaughn showing good submission defense here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Victor Vaughn dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Striker misses with a straight right. Vaughn lands a two punch combo.
Vaughn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Striker fails in his attempt to clinch. Striker with a lazy takedown attempt and Vaughn counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Vaughn. Vaughn wants to pass the guard but Striker is keeping the position. Vaughn throws a big right hand that misses. Vaughn connects with a couple of short punches. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vaughn postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Striker looking for a guillotine here but Vaughn defends easily.
Vaughn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Vaughn stands and throws Striker's legs to the side, diving into side control. Striker is trying to control Vaughn's posture but Vaughn avoids it. Vaughn misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Victor Vaughn has got the better of the ground game so far. Vaughn gets to mount! Striker was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Vaughn avoids the attempt from Striker to control. Striker is desperately trying to improve his position but Vaughn has a good base and remains in mount. Vaughn with good strikes from the mount here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Striker really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Striker is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Striker wants to control but Vaughn is having none of it. Vaughn looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Vaughn lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Vaughn landing strikes from the mount. Vaughn with shots to the head and body - Striker looks very uncomfortable down there. Vaughn is in the full mount, landing strikes. Vaughn landing punches.
Striker is rocked!
It looks like Bob Striker has been cut. Vaughn raining down hammerfists from mount. Oh Striker is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Vaughn unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Striker wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Vaughn celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Victor Vaughn!
