Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Knarles Grunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Mora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grunt's entrance music is BLUNT- The Iron Maiden. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Knarles Grunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alejandro Mora!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mora throws a sloppy head kick and Grunt moves out of range easily.
Grunt thuds his right hand into Mora's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Grunt misses with a hook
and Mora counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mora connects with a nice short shot to Grunt's temple.
Mora thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Grunt's head.

Grunt is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grunt wants to improve his position but Mora is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grunt is landing with some decent strikes but Mora is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Mora breaks Grunt's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

A punch lands to the side of Grunt 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Mora shoots in looking for a takedown. Grunt tries to sprawl out of it but Mora keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grunt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Grunt's corner calls for a 1-2. Grunt obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Knarles Grunt.
I think Mora has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
