Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Bastos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bastos comes into the arena with D-Nox & Beckers - One Shot (Flame On Fire Remix) blaring out of the sound system. Ryan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Girlfriend. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ryan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ryan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bastos.
Bastos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ryan's waist but Ryan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bastos off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andreas Bastos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ryan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Ryan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bastos looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ryan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bastos on the side of the head.
Bastos misses with a combination
and Ryan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Ryan.

Ryan punishes Bastos's body with a nice straight punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bastos takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Ryan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ryan works Bastos's body with a nice hook.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bastos takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Ryan scoring well with a low kick there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Ryan dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A jab from Ryan finds it's way through Bastos's defenses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
That kick from Ryan tenderised Bastos's leg. Bastos is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ryan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Bastos might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Bastos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ryan tries to avoid it but Bastos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ryan to the ground. Ryan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Andreas Bastos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ryan lands a front kick.

Ryan lands with a nice body punch.
Ryan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bastos drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ryan pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bastos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ryan counters with a head kick that drops Bastos to the mat! Bastos scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Bastos is rocked!

Oh Bastos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Andreas Bastos's cut is getting worse.
Ryan looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Ryan backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Bastos's temple! It sends Bastos violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Ryan celebrates and the doctors try to help Bastos!
