Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Doug Stanhope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klaus Krooker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanhope comes to the cage accompanied by Bloggin on Acid. The crowd seem to be enjoying Krooker's choice of entrance music: Kasparov - Keep Going. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanhope tries to close the distance and clinch up but Krooker swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Krooker shoots for a double leg takedown but Stanhope sprawls well. He's pushed Krooker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Krooker creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Stanhope sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Stanhope knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Krooker on the ground.

Stanhope rushes Krooker and presses him up against the cage.

Krooker drags the fight down to the ground.
Stanhope wants to get up but he can't break Krooker's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Krooker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stanhope gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Krooker has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Krooker wants to get back to his feet but Stanhope is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
