Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ameliano Cassemiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogelio Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ameliano Cassemiro had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cassemiro to the mat! Cassemiro manages to get full guard.
Cassemiro wants to sweep here but Rodriguez controlling him for the moment.
Cassemiro working for a triangle but Rodriguez defends it easily.
Cassemiro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rodriguez keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cassemiro's head.
Rodriguez preventing the sweep.
Rodriguez pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cassemiro is keeping the position for now.
Rodriguez passes Cassemiro's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Rodriguez missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Cassemiro trying to hold on to Rodriguez's head to control him but Rodriguez postures up.
Rodriguez moves into full mount! Cassemiro won't be happy about that!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cassemiro is looking to improve his position but Rodriguez isn't that keen on the idea.
That's one minute gone in the round.
BOOM! Rodriguez connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Cassemiro tries to hold on but Rodriguez pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rodriguez is landing with some decent strikes but Cassemiro is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Cassemiro is rocked!
Rodriguez lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Cassemiro! Rodriguez sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Cassemiro and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rogelio Rodriguez!
