Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bill Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cub Galloway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bill Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cub Galloway! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerr takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A jab from Galloway misses. Kerr shoots in for a takedown but Galloway shows good takedown defense. The fight stays on the outside here - Galloway looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kerr looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Still in half guard, Kerr seems content to control. Kerr moves nicely into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee asks Kerr politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kerr prefers to stall for the moment though. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Kerr's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bill Kerr has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Galloway throws a nice outside leg kick. Kerr closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Galloway quickly recovers to half guard. Kerr tries to pass to full mount but Galloway defends it. Kerr trying to control the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Bill Kerr just wasn't active enough. Galloway throws a sloppy head kick and Kerr moves out of range easily. Galloway keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kerr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Galloway blocks a leg kick. Kerr throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kerr shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Kerr is figuring out what he wants to do next.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Galloway keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kerr tries to land a front kick but Galloway steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Galloway avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kerr throws a sloppy head kick and Galloway moves out of range easily. Kerr throws a head kick that misses. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kerr crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Galloway - the referee stops the clock and Kerr gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Galloway. Kerr manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. The fight stays on the outside here - Galloway looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Galloway is looking to clinch. Galloway avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kerr throws a right hand that Galloway ducks under and follows up with a left that Galloway also avoids with ease. Cub Galloway is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Galloway throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kerr misses with a series of wild punches.

Bill Kerr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck with that takedown attempt from Galloway. Nice sprawl there from Galloway as Kerr shoots in. A head kick misses from Galloway. Cub Galloway seems to be getting the better of the standup. Galloway turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kerr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Galloway sprawls well. Galloway wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kerr gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bill Kerr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kerr misses with the combination.

Galloway tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kerr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Galloway throws a body punch but Kerr moves out of range. A nice inside leg kick there by Galloway. That's going to slow Kerr down. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Galloway tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kerr avoids the head kick by Galloway.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A head kick by Kerr misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Galloway doesn't manage to clinch there - Kerr circles away.

Cub Galloway showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kerr in particular looking to stall. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Galloway can do anything to dispel that myth. Kerr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Galloway does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Galloway for as long as he can get away with.
