Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Elowitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcelo Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seth Elowitz! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia takes the fight into the clinch. Elowitz gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Garcia has an active guard here but Elowitz has managed to pass into half guard.
Garcia is looking to get back to full guard here but Elowitz has managed to pass to side control instead. Elowitz working away. Garcia trying to remain calm as Elowitz controls from the top position. Garcia struggling a bit here. Garcia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Elowitz on the ground. Elowitz is looking to take a break and control but Garcia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Elowitz controls the position. Garcia is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Garcia gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Elowitz sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Elowitz trying to control but he's not successful this time. Garcia tries to lock up and control but Elowitz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Garcia holds on for dear life. Elowitz tries to control but Garcia wriggling away. Elowitz controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Elowitz is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Garcia is surviving well by controlling Elowitz's body position as best he can. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Elowitz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Elowitz avoids the attempt from Garcia to control. Elowitz wants to control the pace but Garcia is squirming around nicely. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Garcia is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Elowitz locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Garcia is forced to tap!
