Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rob Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Mexico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mexico has chosen I want war as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Tate! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Mexico! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mexico misses with a wild body shot. Tate fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Some wild striking there from Mexico.
Mexico throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A looping hook to the body misses from Mexico. Tate does a little dance to reset his feet. Mexico takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Mexico connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Tate's hands. Tate looks to land a combination but Mexico avoids it well. Mexico connects with a nice looking jab.
Mexico throws an overhand right that lands on Tate's shoulder, as Tate tries to avoid the shot. Tate shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mexico as he avoids it easily. Tate tries to move into range but Mexico moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Mexico swings for the body but Tate moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tate moves out of range as Mexico strikes. Mexico swings widly with a right hand
and Tate counters with a shoot takedown. Mexico fights it but they end up in guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Tate slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Tate has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mexico trying to keep a closed guard but Tate is proving a slippery customer.
Tate postures up in Mexico's guard and throws a big left but Mexico blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mexico manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mexico throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Tate because Mexico loaded up on that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Mexico there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tate is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Mexico lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Mexico trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mexico throws some wild stikes that Tate manages to avoid easily.
Mexico sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Mexico can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tate is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tate wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Mexico.

Mexico has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mexico thowing shots but they're missing. Mexico lands with some strikes. Mexico in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mexico throwing strikes but Tate uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Mexico misses with a head shot. Tate uses the momentum to regain guard. Mexico throwing strikes from guard but Tate blocks nicely. Mexico throws and elbow that misses. Tate uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mexico's guard. Nice move by Tate! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mexico trying to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ron Mexico dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tate throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tate takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Mexico throws a lazy uppercut
and Tate counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Tate is keen to just control but Mexico is a slippery customer. Mexico wants to improve his position but Tate is controlling well.
Ron Mexico has got the better of the ground game so far. Mexico manages to get to full guard.
Mexico seems keen to control Tate's posture. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mexico tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tate throws and elbow that misses. Mexico uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tate's guard. Nice move by Mexico! Mexico wants to control from the top but Tate keeps moving. Mexico stands up over Tate, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Mexico lands a couple of elbows. Mexico throwing strikes from guard but Tate blocks nicely. Tate keeping moving, preventing Mexico from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mexico throws a big right hand that misses. Mexico trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ron Mexico has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Mexico bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tate's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mexico stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mexico wants it to stay on the feet. Mexico defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tate. Tate takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mexico lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Rob Tate has been cut. Mexico looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ron Mexico seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mexico misses with a right hand and Mexico takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mexico lands with a hook. Tate tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Tate is rocked! Mexico throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Tate stumbling backwards into the cage! Tate bounces back off the cage towards Mexico, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Mexico lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Mexico celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ron Mexico!
