PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Waldus Kiepski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goliath Smash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiepski is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Goliath Smash is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kiepski is defended easily by Smash.
Kiepski is breathing heavily.
Smash stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


It looks like Waldus Kiepski has been cut.

Kiepski tries to sprawl but Smash drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Smash seems to be working for a kimura but Kiepski defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kiepski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smash looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Smash tries to bum rush Kiepski with a series of wild strikes but Kiepski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Kiepski counters with a three punch combo that has Smash backing up. Smash nods at Kiepski to acknowledge the strikes.

Kiepski shoots for a takedown but Smash saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smash shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kiepski is trying to defend but Smash finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

and Smash counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

No joy there for Smash, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Well Smash has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
