Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kien Ngo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vargas has chosen Dominican as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kien Ngo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randy Vargas! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ngo blocks a head kick by Vargas.
Ngo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ngo shoots in and gets a takedown into Vargas's guard. Vargas is looking for a triangle but Ngo pushes his legs off easily.
Ngo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ngo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Vargas working for a triangle but Ngo defends it easily.
Vargas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ngo postures up and lands a big shot to Vargas's brow. Vargas keeping moving, preventing Ngo from controlling successfully. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ngo works over Vargas with some ground and pound from guard. Vargas taking a bit of punishment here - Ngo scoring with strikes. Ngo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Vargas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vargas is trying to work for a sweep but Ngo has mounted him!

Ngo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vargas keeps working. Ngo frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ngo punishing his opponent with strikes. Ngo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ngo breaks from Vargas's wrist control and lands an elbow. BOOM! Ngo connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Vargas is desperately trying to improve his position but Ngo has a good base and remains in mount. Vargas regains half guard. Ngo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Ngo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Vargas is staying active underneath Ngo, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ngo winds up and cracks Vargas with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Vargas is rocked! Ngo cracks Vargas with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Vargas is still in real trouble! Can Ngo finish him? Ngo controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kien Ngo dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Vargas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ngo jabs at Vargas's body. Ngo throws out a powerful jab. Ngo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Vargas fails to land with a series of punches.

Randy Vargas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ngo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Vargas takes a body punch but keeps moving. Vargas is breathing heavily. Vargas misses with a few strikes there.
Vargas throws a right hand that Ngo ducks under and follows up with a left that Ngo also avoids with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ngo gets the takedown into side control. Ngo looks up at the clock and then as Vargas takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ngo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Ngo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vargas can do to turn this around? Ngo working the body and head with strikes. Kien Ngo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ngo lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Vargas down.
Ngo cracks Vargas with an elbow. That is naaassty. Ngo has knee on belly and moves into mount. Vargas tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vargas in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Ngo raining down shots from the mount! BOOM! Ngo connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Ngo is in the full mount, landing strikes. Ngo cracks Vargas with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
