Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ben Big Fish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Beauvais! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beauvais slips a jab from Big Fish. Beauvais clinches up with Big Fish and pushes him back against the cage. Beauvais keeps control of Big Fish as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Big Fish looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Beauvais manages to pull guard.
Beauvais is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Big Fish trying to control here.
Still in half guard, Beauvais seems content to control. Big Fish is trying to control but can't.
Beauvais controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Big Fish throws a lazy head kick and Beauvais counters with a single leg into guard. Big Fish didn't expect that. Beauvais not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Big Fish trying to control the position.
Beauvais gets to his feet - Big Fish follows without any prompting. Beauvais has closed the distance and engaged Big Fish in a clinch.
Beauvais breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Beauvais rushes Big Fish and presses him up against the cage. Beauvais manages to pull guard.
Beauvais manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Beauvais. Big Fish is breathing heavily. Beauvais putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Beauvais controlling the position easily from mount. It looks like Beauvais might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beauvais has isolated one of Big Fish's arms. Big Fish looking to fight him off but Beauvais twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
