Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Helks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pedro Helks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Stark! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Stark. No joy for Helks on that attempt. Stark tries to clinch up but Helks circles away and keeps his distance. John Stark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stark throws a head kick that misses. Stark shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Helks sprawls well. Helks wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stark gets slowly back to his feet. Helks tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Helks fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stark, pushing him back against the cage. Stark manages to break the clinch.
Stark swings for the body but Helks moves out of range.
Helks takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Stark scores with a jab. Helks acknowledges it with a nod of the head. No joy there for Stark, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Helks gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stark trying to control the position from guard on top but Helks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Helks holds on and takes a little breather. Helks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stark doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Helks is tightening it up a little... Stark has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Stark reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Stark taps out! nice BJJ there by Helks!
