The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Mousasi. That snapped Masters's head back.
Masters works over Mousasi's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Gegard Mousasi has been cut.
Mousasi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Masters misses with an uppercut. Mousasi saw that one coming.
Masters thows a body shot but no joy.
Mousasi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Masters.
Masters ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mousasi moves away.
Masters bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Masters throws a jab when Mousasi was well out of range.
Mousasi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Mousasi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mousasi doesn't manage to clinch there - Masters circles away.
Mousasi gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Masters to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Masters avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Masters wanted to stand there but Mousasi had control of the position.

Mousasi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Masters gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Masters gets to his feet - Mousasi follows without any prompting.
Masters motions for Mousasi to come forward. Masters throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Mousasi ducks right into an uppercut from Masters.
Mousasi throws a predictable looking body shot
and Masters cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mousasi avoids the head kick by Masters.

Masters misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mousasi.
Mousasi is looking to clinch but Masters is avoiding it.
Masters ducks under a wild hook from Mousasi.
Mousasi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Masters. Masters obviously looking to wear him down.
A punch lands to the side of Mousasi 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Mousasi takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A low kick from Mousasi is predictable there
and Masters counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mousasi thinking.
Mousasi is breathing heavily.
Masters throws a looping overhand right but Mousasi ducks down to avoid it.
Mousasi is looking to clinch but Masters is avoiding it.
Mousasi misses with a wild body shot.
Mousasi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mousasi misses with a double jab.
Mousasi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Masters sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mousasi tries to clinch there but Masters circles away.
Mousasi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Mousasi takes one to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mousasi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Mousasi throws out a loose jab but Masters uses good head movement to avoid it.
Masters keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Masters misses with a head kick.
Danga de danga de dang - Masters scores with a four punch combination!
Mousasi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Masters pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Masters fails to land with a series of punches.
Masters misses with a body shot.
Mousasi tries to sprawl but Masters drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Masters in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Let's hope that Masters has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Mousasi is looking to improve his position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mousasi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Masters moves away.

Mousasi darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Masters misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mousasi has taken the fight to the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Mousasi.
Masters tightens his grip and picks Mousasi up, before dumping him to the ground. Mousasi manages to land in guard.
Mousasi looking for a sweep. Not yet Mousasi, not yet.
Masters gets to his feet - Mousasi follows without any prompting.
Mousasi wants to clinch.
A slapping leg kick lands for Masters.

Masters fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
No joy there for Masters, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mousasi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Jab, jab by Masters - just one landing.
Mousasi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Masters shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Masters was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mousasi is working to get back to half guard.
Masters has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Mousasi is forced to tap!
