Kil comes to the cage accompanied by Over The Hills And Far Away. The crowd seem to be enjoying Steele's choice of entrance music: Cinderella Man. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steele checks a leg kick. Steele uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kil. Steele blocks a head kick by Kil.
Jab from Steele. Kil throws a big shot that misses. A leg kick checked by Steele. Steele thows a left - swing and a miss! Kil throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A jab lands there for Kil. Steele misses with a right hand and Kil counters with a head kick. That will keep Steele thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Steele misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kil.
Steele misses with a hook. Steele slips under a jab from Kil. Kil uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Steele has time to react. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kil swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kil wants to land a leg kick but Steele is out of range. A jab from Steele misses. Kil rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Steele counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Steele slows the pace down in half guard. Steele not landing any meaningful shots this time. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Steele in particular looking to stall. Steele lands strikes from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kil is staying active underneath Steele, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kil keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! Steele is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Steele throws a strike but Kil avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Kil is looking to stand up but Steele isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele throws and elbow that misses. Kil uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Steele's guard. Nice move by Kil! Steele working for a triangle but Kil defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kil has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Steele is proving hard to escape from. Kil wants to stand and escape but instead Steele has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Steele with a flurry of punches that miss. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kil preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Steele wants to control from the top but Kil keeps moving. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Steele working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Steele dominated that round. That's time! Kil's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kil throws a head kick but Steele moves out of range.
A big left from Steele misses. Kil fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Steele is out of range. Steele tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kil was well out of range. Poor timing from Steele. Sten Kil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A decent looking cross lands there for Steele. Kil throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Steele steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kil. Steele throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kil stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kil showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Steele.
Kil misses with a body kick. Kil pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kil throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kil finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Steele cracks Kil with a good jab. Steele swings for the body but Kil moves out of range.

Kil misses with a lunging right hand
and Steele counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Steele connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kil. Kil circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Steele lands a head shot. Kil throws a sloppy head kick and Steele moves out of range easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Steele avoids the head kick by Kil.
Kil tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sten Kil is winning the standup battle so far. Steele throws out a loose jab but Kil uses good head movement to avoid it. Steele closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kil throws a head kick but Steele moves out of range.
Steele lands a body shot.
Kil takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Kil walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Steele dives in and grabs Kil's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kil pushes down on Steele's head and hops out. Steele moves into range and connects with a jab. Steele ducks under a wild hook from Kil. Kil darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Sten Kil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Steele showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kil.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kil! Steele is landing with some decent strikes but Kil is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Kil is bucking up trying to escape but Steele cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Steele working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Kil is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Steele lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Kil! Steele sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Kil and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
