Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Urijah Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Papa Bahha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Faber shoots in and bounces Bahha off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bahha is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bahha keeping moving, preventing Faber from controlling successfully.
Bahha is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Faber engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Faber trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bahha's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Urijah Faber wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Faber shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bahha napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Bahha throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Faber escapes and throws Bahha's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Bahha is looking to regain half guard here but Faber keeps moving and retains side control.

Bahha is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Faber trying to control the action but Bahha is working from the bottom.
Bahha is holding on to half guard well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Faber is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Faber is looking to stand up but Bahha won't let him.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Urijah Faber wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Faber tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bahha looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Faber defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bahha.
No luck for Bahha with that takedown attempt.
Bahha moves out of range of the body kick from Faber.
Bahha shoots in but no luck this time.
Urijah Faber has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Papa Bahha.

Faber pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Faber shoots in for a takedown but Bahha shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Faber throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Faber changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bahha looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Faber is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bahha is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Faber asserts his dominance and retains side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bahha parries the strikes from Faber easily there. Faber is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bahha to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bahha.
Bahha changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Faber tries to avoid it but Bahha manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Faber to the ground. Faber escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Faber throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bahha was covering up waiting for the punch and Faber finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bahha will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Bahha has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Faber can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Urijah Faber.

Bahha stuffs the takedown attempt from Faber. Faber gets slowly back to his feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Faber accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bahha looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bahha manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Faber manages to get himself to full guard.
Urijah Faber overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bahha gets to his feet - Faber follows without any prompting.

Bahha tries to keep at a distance but Faber has taken the fight into the clinch.
Faber is trying to drag Bahha to the mat but Bahha just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Faber tries to pull guard but Bahha holds him up against the cage and eventually Faber drops back down to his feet.
Faber blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Faber tries for a takedown but Bahha manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Urijah Faber. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bahha takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bahha is looking to improve his position but Faber isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Faber has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
