Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andres Aguinaldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hokkaido Honsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hokkaido Honsu will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andres Aguinaldo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hokkaido Honsu! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aguinaldo drives through with a takedown into guard. Aguinaldo wants to control from the top but Honsu keeps moving. Aguinaldo could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Aguinaldo is really struggling to control Honsu but he's trying to hold on to the position. Honsu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Honsu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aguinaldo wants to control from the top but Honsu keeps moving. Aguinaldo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Aguinaldo postures up.
Honsu looking for a sweep. Not yet Honsu, not yet. Honsu has Aguinaldo pulled in close to control his posture.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Honsu stuffs the takedown. Aguinaldo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Aguinaldo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Honsu has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Aguinaldo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Honsu is now in Aguinaldo's guard. A big mistake from Aguinaldo there, giving up the dominant position! Aguinaldo is breathing heavily. Aguinaldo controlling the position. Honsu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aguinaldo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Aguinaldo working for a triangle but Honsu defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Honsu trying to control but Aguinaldo is working from the bottom. Honsu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Aguinaldo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Honsu stacks Aguinaldo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Honsu! Honsu tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Honsu trying to control the action but Aguinaldo is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aguinaldo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Honsu wants to pass the guard but Aguinaldo is defending well. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Honsu works his foot free and advances to mount. Aguinaldo tries to lock up and control but Honsu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Honsu looking to finish Aguinaldo with some ground and pound. This is bad for Aguinaldo!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Honsu. Honsu wants to control the pace but Aguinaldo is squirming around nicely. Aguinaldo tries to reverse the position but Honsu maintains control. Aguinaldo regains half guard. Aguinaldo is trying to control but Honsu passes into side control!
Aguinaldo takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Honsu wants to control but Aguinaldo is keeping him busy. Aguinaldo is trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Hokkaido Honsu will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Aguinaldo shoots in for a takedown but Honsu shows good takedown defense. Honsu shoots in and bounces Aguinaldo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Honsu wants to control from the top but Aguinaldo keeps moving. Aguinaldo has an active guard here but Honsu has managed to pass into half guard.
Honsu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Aguinaldo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Honsu is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Honsu scoring with strikes to the body and head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Honsu is tying to control. Aguinaldo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Honsu tries to pass to full mount but Aguinaldo defends it. Aguinaldo is staying active underneath Honsu, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Aguinaldo controlling the position for now. Aguinaldo trying to control here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Honsu throws a jab when Aguinaldo was well out of range. Aguinaldo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Aguinaldo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Honsu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aguinaldo is working to avoid the ground and pound but Honsu connects with a decent elbow. Hokkaido Honsu has got the better of the ground game so far. Honsu is working Aguinaldo over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Honsu in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Honsu controls the position. Honsu working the head with strikes. Aguinaldo struggling a bit here. Honsu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Honsu trying to control the action but Aguinaldo is working from the bottom. Aguinaldo regains half guard. Aguinaldo is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Honsu is looking for a kimura here.
Aguinaldo is controlling Honsu's trapped leg to prevent Honsu from advancing to side control. Aguinaldo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Honsu is working away from the top position though. Aguinaldo actively working from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Honsu tries to pass the half guard into mount. Aguinaldo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Honsu tries to clinch but Aguinaldo is having none of it. Honsu throws a body kick that misses. Aguinaldo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Honsu with a lazy takedown attempt and Aguinaldo counters with a takedown into side control. Honsu stops Aguinaldo from passing to mount. Aguinaldo moves into full mount! Honsu regains half guard. Honsu is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hokkaido Honsu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Honsu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Aguinaldo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Honsu wants to clinch up but Aguinaldo keeps it at a distance. Honsu throws a head kick but Aguinaldo moves out of range.
Aguinaldo blocks a low kick nicely. Aguinaldo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Honsu manages to get back to half guard. Aguinaldo seems to be working for a kimura but Honsu defends the submission attempt. Aguinaldo is trying to work for a kimura but Honsu is defending well.
Honsu gets full guard. Honsu keeping moving, preventing Aguinaldo from controlling successfully. Honsu wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aguinaldo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Honsu's guard. Aguinaldo blocks the strikes from Honsu.
Honsu actively working from the bottom here. Honsu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Aguinaldo trying to mount his opponent but Honsu defends it. Aguinaldo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Honsu is just riding it out for now. Aguinaldo eventually gives up the hold. Aguinaldo is pressing down on Honsu's thigh, looking to free his foot. Honsu is holding on for now. Andres Aguinaldo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Honsu is refusing to be controlled, as Aguinaldo sits in half guard. Honsu is looking to control Aguinaldo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Honsu avoid being mounted? Aguinaldo prevents Honsu from improving his position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Honsu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aguinaldo tries to bench press Honsu off him but Honsu keeps the position. Honsu misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Aguinaldo is looking to regain half guard here but Honsu keeps moving and retains side control. Honsu scoring with punches from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Honsu wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Aguinaldo, who protects the arm well. Aguinaldo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Honsu wants to control but Aguinaldo is keeping him busy. Aguinaldo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Honsu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Aguinaldo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Honsu counters with a nice double leg into guard. Honsu thows a big elbow that misses. Honsu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Honsu works a leg free and moves into half guard. Aguinaldo misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Honsu missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Honsu is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Aguinaldo! Aguinaldo is squirming around, avoiding Honsu's attempts to control the action. Honsu prevents Aguinaldo from getting the reversal. Honsu with good strikes from the mount here! Honsu controlling from mount. Aguinaldo is wriggling around trying to escape.
Honsu wants to control the pace but Aguinaldo is squirming around nicely. Aguinaldo swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Hokkaido Honsu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Honsu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
