The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liechtenauer shoots in but MacRoberts avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Liechtenauer closes the distance and pushes MacRoberts back into the ropes.
Liechtenauer goes for a takedown in the clinch but MacRoberts prevents it.
Liechtenauer decides to pull guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Liechtenauer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
MacRoberts distracts Liechtenauer with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
MacRoberts keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Liechtenauer's head.
MacRoberts must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
MacRoberts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liechtenauer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Liechtenauer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. MacRoberts is aware though and is defending well.

MacRoberts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Liechtenauer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Liechtenauer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and MacRoberts defends well.
MacRoberts would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Liechtenauer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. MacRoberts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Liechtenauer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. MacRoberts doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. MacRoberts manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
MacRoberts wants to control from the top but Liechtenauer keeps moving.

MacRoberts looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Liechtenauer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Liechtenauer.
MacRoberts is posturing up here but Liechtenauer has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! MacRoberts tries to roll out but it's too tight and MacRoberts has to tap! Slick submission there by Liechtenauer!
