Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Raine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Renton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raine's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Tennessee wing walk. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aldo Raine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Renton! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raine forces Renton back against the cage and clinches. Renton avoids a wild elbow strike from Raine. Raine lands an elbow inside that Renton shrugs off. Raine misses with an elbow strike.
Raine creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Renton's defenses. Raine lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Mark Renton has been cut. Raine misses with an elbow over the top. Raine creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Renton's defenses. Raine misses with an elbow strike.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Raine stopping the sweep attempt from Renton. Renton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Raine tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Renton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Raine moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Renton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Raine as he jumps to the side. Renton connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Raine looks to land a combination but Renton avoids it well. Renton thows a left - swing and a miss! Raine fails with an attempt to clinch.
Aldo Raine is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Raine closes the distance looking to clinch and Renton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Raine's guard. Raine is pulling down on Renton's head to control his posture. Renton connects with a couple of short punches. Raine on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Raine tries to get out of the position.

Renton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Raine swivels though and keeps the full guard. Renton lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Raine looking to control.

Raine avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Raine is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Renton works a leg free and moves into half guard. Nice strikes from Renton there. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Renton lands a nice short elbow. Renton is working for a kimura but Raine is defending it quite comfortably.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Raine is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Renton scores with a couple of nice shots. Renton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Raine manages to escape and get back to his feet! Raine slips a straight right by Renton. A jab from Renton misses. Raine tries to clinch but Renton is having none of it. Renton thows a body shot but no joy. Raine throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Renton. Raine tries to clinch there but Renton circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Raine is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Renton is controlling him. Renton scoring with some ground and pound. Renton prevents Raine from getting back to his feet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Renton stands and steps away. Raine gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Renton looks to score with a jab to the body but Raine is just out of range. Renton leaves Raine with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Renton swings for the body but Raine moves out of range.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Raine walks away with a smile on his face. Renton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. This has been an exciting period of action! Raine tries to clinch but Renton is having none of it. Raine avoids the body shot from Renton.
Raine feints a jab promting Renton to slip. Raine then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Renton slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Renton is defended easily by Raine. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Raine tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Renton paws at him with a jab and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
